Yantra Senior Consultant

Location: United States

Position Description

The Senior Consultant (SC) is the business process and design expert on a project. The SC leads the analysis of existing processes, determines the functional business requirements, translates the requirements into detail designs, and installs and configures Yantra's software at the customer site. The SC maintains a solid understanding of supply chain management business processes and Yantra products. The SC leads design sessions and the testing phases of engagements. The SC mentors junior resources assigned to the project. The SC role includes:

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the customer through requirements gathering and design sessions
  • Leading team of Yantra functional consultants on projects
  • Identifying gaps between the product and the required functionality
  • Defining functional design for the product extensions, interfaces, and data conversion modules
  • Performing a quality assurance role on deliverables and other documentation
  • Facilitating training sessions in conjunction with Yantra's Education department
  • Estimating project work effort accurately
  • Assisting in the tracking of project management factors (schedule, budget, issues, resources, etc.)
  • Driving the overall solution testing including creating and executing test plans for the core application, application processing logic, extensibility, user interfaces, and integrations
  • Identifying and presenting opportunities for process and solution improvement
  • Maintaining awareness of Yantra's market and business focus
  • Following project methodologies, standards and plans
  • Maintaining Yantra solutions and best practices for design and delivery

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

  • BS Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Math with computer literacy and programming capabilities

Highly desired, but not required:

  • Technical degree (Computer Science or Engineering) preferred; advanced business degree is a plus
  • Experience with enterprise-wide Supply Chain applications, especially order management, order fulfillment and warehouse management
  • 4+ years of system integration and consulting experience focused on business analysis and solution design; 2+ years as a design lead
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Strong experience in XML, XML parsers, and XSL
  • Experience working with Yantra's complementary products: BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, WebMethods, Cognos, JMS compliant queues (MSMQ, WebLogic JMS), Eclipse

Software Systems Test Engineer - Quality Assurance

Location: United States

Position Description

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to make a difference within a growing corporation and Engineering organization. They will be the best and the brightest candidates amongst their peers. This position is located in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

This individual will be responsible for system end-to-end testing of a supply chain management software solution based on an advanced web architecture: Java, SQL, XML, JSP, using browser interface to HTML, Java Swing and eclipse UI technology, with WebLogic and Websphere application servers on W2K, Linux, UNIX and Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL Server platforms. The candidate will work closely with Development Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and our customers. The candidate will develop production simulations to enable data to pass through the entire system. The individual must be comfortable with volume testing, scaling and system administration and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Document and execute test cases for various modes of testing: API, UI, functional, concurrency, and system tests
  • Automate all tests using Mercury LoadRunner and QTP, Java, PL/SQL, Perl, XML and UNIX shell scripts
  • Design production simulations, run simulations, enter and track issues in the Clarify problem tracking system
  • Monitor production simulations for errors, memory usage, CPU and disk behaviors

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience with quality assurance and test methods as it pertains to testing large scale applications that operate in a 24*7 environment
  • Experience writing, executing and automating test cases using products like Mercury LoadRunner to be able to drive volumes over a period of time
  • Ability to monitor large-scale tests using tools such as Wiley and Quest Spotlight as well as the administration tools provided by middleware, O/S and database vendors.
  • Ability to write programs to parse large volumes of data collected during the test.
  • Bug tracking software
  • Experience with any of the leading test automation tools: Mercury, RSW, Segue, Rational SQA Robot
  • Operating Systems: Linux, UNIX and/or NT

Senior Customer Service Engineer Position

Location: United States

Position Description

We are looking for highly motivated technology oriented individuals who want to make a difference within a growing corporation and Technical Support organization. They will be the best and the brightest candidates amongst their peers.

This individual will be able to provide technical leadership and be responsible for the support of Yantra's Suite of Software products based on an advanced web architecture: UNIX, Java, Oracle RDBMS, C and MS SQL Server platforms, XML, web services, application servers like WebLogic or WebSphere using IE browser and standalone applications. Support provided may be in the form of Supply Chain Functional knowledge support, Technical issues troubleshooting, Java code development support, and UNIX and Database administration support. Support may also take the form of programmatic troubleshooting and debugging of System interfaces and User Interfaces. This position will require in-depth troubleshooting of highly complicated issues involving Yantra's proprietary programs as well as interfaces with third party systems and custom code. Average issues handled by Senior Technical Support Engineers require three or four hours of investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in all aspects of the support of Yantra products.
  • Participate in the handling of customer and implementation issues.
  • Spend 70% of time researching issues; 30 % of time on phone coverage.
  • Minimal Travel 10% of the time to client sites for support and training purposes.
  • Provide support to professional services and its partners.
  • Provide Support to field teams in the development of Java based system extensions.
  • Interact with other groups throughout the company to facilitate the release of products and toolkits.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers to improve their knowledge and productivity.
  • Develop tools to help to improve the productivity of the team in troubleshooting Yantra Software and the infrastructure issues.
  • Provide after hours Support as scheduled.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Operating Systems: UNIX, Windows and Linux.
  • Proficient in following: Unix Shell, Java, C, XML, SQL, PL/SQL.
  • Support Experience: 4-7 Years of Support or relevant technical experience.
  • Relational Database skills, Oracle and/or MS SQL server. The individual should have outstanding SQL experience that will enable them to, review DB schema's, select data, review PL/SQL code, and participate in SQL tuning efforts.
  • Knowledge of J2EE architecture.
  • Knowledge of WebLogic or WebSphere application server desirable.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, order management, ERP applications, and/or financial systems a plus.
  • Programming skills in Java, C++ -, C ,or PL/SQL is required. 1+ years Programming experience is a plus.
